Pete distinguished himself by going the extra miles to diagnose, and to fix my ejector pump problem. The initial assessment was to replace the floater switch. However, during the process Pete found out the pump itself was not working properly. He spent extra time to diagnose the pump and eventually fixed it without charge me any extra. In a situation like this I could see others might easily demand me to replace the whole pump. I highly recommend Burr Oak Plumbing to anyone who needs such service.

After have one of the larger plumbing companies out earlier in the day and them not solving my issue, I called Burr Oak Plumbing. They were willing to come out immediately but I suggested they wait until the next day when it was light outside. They arrived on time no 2-4 hour window time. They solved my issue and charged a fair price. I will tear up all of my old plumbers phone numbers and only use Burr Oak. The assistant was very nice and polite too. Thank you!!

We recently were looking for a plumber as this last winter was the finale on our frost free hose bibs, (it wasn't a bad seal, pipe had budged from over tightening to try and shut off), additionally, we had a pipe in the basement that was leaking at a double elbow joint, about a coffee pot of water a month, (based on the coffee pot we put underneath it to collect the water). All of this and we just brought home our newborn baby, so we were worried about not having water in the house while trying to get these things repaired. Lets just say we were looking for a great plumber, one that gave us confidence he could get the job done right at an affordable price. Peter was up front about his pricing, he gave us a quick and competitive quote over email, but wanted to take a look to confirm, and when he came out to look, said his quote was accurate. He was very informative about what he was working on and where he was at with he project, so as to not impact the baby's feeding and water needs. Additionally his scheduling in the evening and early on the weekend was very much appreciated. He even followed up afterwards to make sure everything was working smoothly.
TL;DR
Peter is a great plumber, he keeps you in the loop, flexible for scheduling, up front with pricing, clean and quality work. Will definitely hire him again for any future plumbing projects.

Though I haven't yet had to actually hire Peter for any work to be done in my home, I had a very positive experience with him that I believe warrants a review.
I had been dealing with a minor leak coming from my kitchen faucet since moving into our new home a few weeks ago. I called Peter (on a recommendation from a friend who has used him), and he ended up spending over 20 minutes on the phone with me walking me thru some possible fixes. As it turns out, a simple replacement of the aerator (which was less than $10 and 2 minutes of work) seems to have resolved the issue. Rather than coming out and charging me a service fee (as I believe MOST plumbers would do), he actually took the time on the phone to speak with me, and ultimately saved me both time and money.
The next time I am in need of a plumber, I will definitely be reaching out to Peter and Burr Oak Plumbing, as he has earned my business.

I highly recommend Burr Oak Plumbing. Pete was quick, responsive, insightful and just awesome. My wife and I are planting some fruit trees and we needed to know the layout of our septic field. Pete actually told me I could get the information for free, from a FOIA request, where other places didn't even bother to tell me about that. I wasn't able to do it myself, as I was flying out of the state for a several day business trip. He actually did the FOIA request for me and printed it out!
Then the day after I got home, he visited and explained everything I needed to know, showed me the septic field, mapped out where we could plant our trees and where to even get the best light for them! He even took a peek at our tank and walk me through some basic troubleshooting tips, which was great for us being new septic owners.

After dealing with another large plumbing company and they were unable to solve my issue, I called Burr Oak Plumbing who were able to come out that night. I waited until the next day. They we here promptly on time with out a 2-4 hour window. He solved my issue and charged me a fair amount. I will no longer use any other plumbing company. Their appearance was neat and professional and both were extremely polite and well mannered. They completely cleaned up their mess not like the plumbers the day before. Thank you.
